What is a crown? What is the difference between a crown and a topper?Crowns are our versions of toppers! It's a 10x10 lace top wefted cap with a 125% density. Normal toppers have a silk top while our crowns are a mix between a lace topper and a lace wig.
-
What is the difference between a topper and a wig?A wig is full coverage and will cover your entire head. A topper is partial coverage and is smaller than a wig. It only covers the top of your head, so is made to blend with your bio hair underneath. Toppers should be about the same or similar color as your bio hair since it’s only partial coverage, and should be about the same length or just a few inches longer. Whereas a wig can be any color or length since it’s full coverage and doesn’t need to blend with your bio hair.
-
What is the difference between a lace front and a standard front?A lace front has sheer lace at the front/edge of the cap, which lays over your forehead and makes it appear as though hair is growing from your scalp. Lace fronts are ideal for those with receding and/or thinning hairlines, or when wearing wigs that are a different color than your natural hair. A standard front wig does not have lace in the front. The edge of the cap is simply covered by hair. If you still have bio hair, you can pull out your own baby hairs for blending.
-
What is the difference between a lace top and a silk top?All of my pieces that most people go crazy over are my lace top wigs. Silk tops look more natural when you’re looking for scalp. Meaning if you’re staring down into the scalp, it looks more like a scalp. But lace looks more natural from regular eye level, to me. Lace has more movement than silk, and is less dense. Silk tops tend to make hair fall forward into the face where as you can push hair back away from your face with a lace top. You can’t tell it’s lace unless you’re really too close and basically inspecting. It’s all personal preference, but that’s the best way I can describe the difference.
-
What is the difference between hand tied and wefted?Wefted caps are made of strips of hair, that are sewn together to form a cap, and are often machine made. Hand tied, as the name suggests, is completely done by hand. Wefted caps are usually lower priced, while their hand tied counterparts are often more expensive.
-
What is a medical cap?Medical cap means there's silicone on the inside of the cap for a better grip for those who are completely bald, but it can also be worn for those with hair as well!
-
How do I measure my head for a wig?To measure your circumference, take a flexible tape measurer and start from the hairline at the center of your head. Wrap the tape measurer around to the nape of your head (where your skull meets your neck) and then back around until you reach the center of your hairline again.
-
How do I measure my head for a topper?Take a flexible tape measurer and start from the hairline and measure all the way to the back of your head, where your hair loss ends. Do the same, going from side to side, and measure just beyond the area of loss. It’s important to start and stop your measurements in an area with a sufficient amount of hair, so the clips will have hair to grab on to, so it does not pull on thin and delicate areas.
-
What are the sizes?Below are the approximate circumferences each of our wig cap sizes will fit: XS :20-21” circumference S : 20.5-21.5” circumference S/M: 21-22" circumference M: 21.5-22.5” circumference M/L: 22-23" circumference L: 22.5-23.5” circumference XL: 23-24” circumference Disclaimer: Sizing may vary based upon one's head shape and how much bio hair they have. Therefore, two people may have the same circumference size, but the wig will fit differently.
-
What size topper base should I order?Based on your measurements, always order a topper that is a few inches larger than your area of loss. Since hair loss can sometimes be progressive, you will want to allow plenty of room, so clips don’t land on thin or weak areas.
-
How do I know what length to order?Take a flexible tape measurer and start from the top and center of your head, and measure down to the ends of your hair. Remember, you CAN order toppers 2-4” longer than your bio hair if you want to go a bit longer!
-
How do I know what color to order? The colors look different in photos and videos.Unfortunately, I will never be able to capture a hair’s exact color on camera. There are so many variables: outdoor vs. indoor lighting. Direct sunlight vs. indirect. Computer screen versus phone screen. To ask which color is accurate would be impossible to answer, as it all depends on your setting. I always do my best to capture the most accurate color for listings, but please be aware that it still may vary.

Do I need to use glue or tape?Yes and no! All of my wigs are glueless. A wig grip should be more than enough to keep your wig in place, but depending on the individual’s head shape, sometimes glue or tape is necessary. Glue or tape may also be used for extra security, if preferred.
-
Do I need to wear a wig cap with a lace wig?I suggest wearing a wig cap or grip, but if you prefer not to, there are tricks to making your lace top wig look more natural, such as putting a strip of ScarAway Tape under the part line.
-
Do I need to cut my own lace? How do I do it?Yes! There are many videos on YouTube to help you along. I suggest going VERY SLOW! Remember, you can always cut more off, but once it’s gone, it’s gone! Sometimes, I do have pieces where the lace is already pre-cut, and if so, it will be described in the listing. However, if you are too hesitant to cut your own lace, we can do it upon request. But, that would make the wig FINAL SALE!
-
How long will my hair piece last? The longevity depends on how it is treated. Sometimes they can last 1-2 years, or sometimes even longer. Proper care is important, such as deep conditioning treatments. I suggest buying a second piece if possible, since swapping between the two can help them last longer. Or you can simply use an older hair piece to the gym or beach!
-
Can I change the color of my hair piece?Depends in which piece you have. You may darken any of my wigs (such as adding a root or lowlights) but I do not suggest lightening a piece without consulting with me first. Alternative hair is already very highly processed, and stripping it further can cause irreversible damage.
-
Can I change the part on my hair piece? On a full lace wig, you can part the hair anywhere you’d like! On a silk or lace top wig, you are limited to the area of lace/silk, which usually allows between 3" to 5" of parting space.
-
What kind of hair do you use?We have a variety of hair types and textures. We mostly use Brazilian, Slavic, Mongolian and European

-
Can I pull my wig away from my face?Yes you can!
-
Are the knots bleached on your lace wigs?Yes they are! Knots can only be bleached so much before the integrity of the knots are compromised, so some pieces will still show darker knots than others, even after bleaching. This can easily be disguised and concealed with makeup concealer or a light highlighting or eye shadow powder!
-
Do I need to put makeup on a lace wig?You don't have to, but many women prefer to! Your makeup matches your skin, so it helps to create a seamless transition from skin to lace!
-
What is a return hair? When hair gets sewed and knotted to secure it onto lace/handtied caps, there are short ends that may stick out through the top of the cap along with the long hairs. This is normal, and you can tame these little hairs with a heated curling iron (by pressing the return hairs down against the cap). You can also use hair spray or pomade to keep them down.
-
How do I wash my hair piece?Shampoo with our Nourished By Tiffani shampoo and conditioner. Make sure to squeeze out excess water after shampooing, and before applying the conditioner. Be sure not to get conditioner on the cap/base as conditioner may loosen the knots. Towel dry by gently patting/squeezing excess water off of your hair. Carefully brush your piece with a wet brush and allow hair to air dry on a wig stand. You can message me for a hair care sheet.
-
How often should I shampoo my hair piece?Generally, you only need to shampoo once a month, but you can shampoo more often, if necessary. But washing it too much will dry out your wig faster.
-
What products should I use on my hair piece? We highly recommend using our Nourished By Tiffani hair care line.
-
Can I use heat tools on my hair piece?Yes, however, I recommend using a heat protectant spray, and I do not suggest going above 300 degrees,
